Enlightenment on Yan Yangchu's Family Education

晏阳初先生是我国现代平民教育的开创者,心怀"教育救国"的抱负,孜孜不倦地躬耕于平民教育与乡村改造运动的实践中,形成了一套完整的平民教育与乡村改造的理论。在其理论体系中,虽然有关家庭教育专门论述不是很多,但其中蕴含着丰富的教育思想,先生不仅极其重视家庭教育,且在家庭教育的目的、形式、内容等方面都有详尽的论述,诸多方面对我国当前家庭教育理论与实践都极富借鉴价值。

Yan Yangchu was a pioneer of modem common-people education. With the ideal of ＂Save the Nation by Education ＂, he tirelessly indulged in common-people education and the practice of rural reform movement, forming a complete set of theory on common-people education and rural transformation. Although family education is a small part of his theoretical system, it contains plenty of educational thought. Mr. Yan not only attached great importance to family education, but also discussed the purpose, form, content and other aspects of family education thoroughly. His thoughts have a strongly theoretical and practical role in the present family education.
