Public Funding to Private Higher Education of Taiwan Region in China

通过文献回顾与分析,以台湾地区的经验来说明私立大学经费补助的政策。从台湾地区高等教育的整体发展情形入手,对私立大学提供经费补助的政策作精简的回顾,并检视私立大学历年经费奖补助情形及私校在竞争性经费竞赛中的收获,以期尝试将台湾地区对私立大学补助的政策与采取的策略作简要的归纳。

This paper mainly aims to explore the public funding to private higher education in Taiwan.The paper is divided into five sections.It starts with a brief analysis of the development of higher education in Taiwan,summarizes the statistics related to the provisions of higher education between public and private sectors.Then,the paper tries to analyze the historical development,as well as reforms,of government＇s policies on the funding of private higher education.The focus of the third section of this paper is on the current policies and legislations in relation to its funding to private higher education in Taiwan.After presenting the actual amount of the government＇s funding to private higher education under various schemes in the fourth section,a brief conclusion is drawn in the final section.
