Translational medical research, an emerging new important component of medical research, is now attracting attention of more and more researchers, experts and physicians in universities, medical research institutes, hospitals and relevant officers in government agencies. The importance of translational medical research is reflected by the following facts： appearance of a few journals with the titles of translational medical research or translational research （including Sci Transl Med, J Transl Med, Am J Transl Med, Exp Transl Stroke Med, etc.）
