摘要 The catalysis of potassium carbonate in perkin reaction for the preparation of a-furanaerylic acid was discussed and comparedwith that of sodium acetate. With K2CO3 the Perkin reaction of furfuraldehtyde can be carried out at lower temperature, in shorter time,with less catalyst in higher yield and with better repeatability.
