摘要
A modern history of discourse analysis is covered within a 40 to 50 time span.In the past years,many newly emerged disciplines and fields have contributed a lot to analysis of linguistic features and patterns in discourse.The knowledge and methodologies drew from the disciplines enrich the analysis of spoken discourse.Hence,the paper is designed to present an overview on approaches of spoken discourse analysis.
