This article briefly describes the background, the application scopes and the limits of harmful substances on series standards of ISO 8124 toy safety, US toy safety standards and rules, EU toy safety standards and directives as well as GB 24613-2009 toy safety standard etc. At the same time, some suggestions are also presented for the development of toy safety standards in future.
