组织和创作八卷本的"西安城市史"系列著作,势必要跨越不同时代,在丰富的自然和行政区域层次上展开对西安地理位置及区位价值的透视分析;西安历代政区沿革是一种城市记录,更是社会生命的一种体现,为此应当融入社会学理念的阐释。透露这一系列著作写作意义和构思,将为作者们寻求更广阔的创作空间,也增添知识经济或网络时代的机会、责任和豪情,而摸索经典学术著作的创作路径,又可视作学者们萌自文化自觉意识追求惯性的自然流露。

For organization of the eight volumes of the ＂Urban History of Xi＇an＂ book series,the authors have to consider many different time periods.To investigate the position and location value of Xi＇an,they also pay enough attention to the complex natural regions and the frequent changes of the administrative divisions.These changes of the administrative divisions are not only the annal of the city,but also the reflection of social life.With some theories of the sociology in the books,they have revealed the above pursuits and ideas to show a broader creating space for the authors of the book series,and also add pride,chance and responsibility of our knowledge-economy and network time to them.Searching a nice way to create an excellent book series can show spontaneous outpouring of the inertia from the pursuing of the cultural consciousness.
