The third China＇s Space Technology Forum was held on October 21 in Beijing. Focusing on Mars exploration, scientists, scholars and industrial representatives gathered to discuss the frontier issues, aims and prospects for the development of the Chinese space technologies. Zhouji, President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yuan Jiajun, CASC Vice President and academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering shared their views on the forum. They discussed topics on the scientific purposes, heavy-lift launch vehicles, Sino-Russia joint Mars exploration program, TT＆C and communications for the national Mars exploration missions and applications of new technologies used for the Mars exploration.
