泰州学派与永嘉学派人员的组成结构和人员的素质不同,两个学派在理论研究的个性上有一定的差异。由于两个学派规模大小不等,所以对地方经济和社会发展影响程度上也有差异。此外由于两个学派当时要解决的问题不一样,所以研究倾向有虚有实,这可以从他们哲学思想上找到一些深层次的因素。
