鼠,自然界的一普通动物,有自己的习性、求生本能和谋生方式。仅由于鼠和人的某些利益相冲突,老鼠被人类所不齿,甚至遭灭门。人类对老鼠的态度可从一些词语、诗行以及文学作品中了解一二。从比较文学的角度可以探索中英诗文中老鼠的形象,从而得知不同时代、不同国度的文人对老鼠的不同看法和态度以及老鼠在不同文人笔下所获得的不同处理。

A mouse,an ordinary animal in the nature,has its own habit and life style as well as an instinct of surviving and ways of making a living.Just for the sake of the conflicts of interests between mice and men,mice have ever been disgusted by human beings,who have ever been trying their utmost to put an end to them.People＇s attitudes toward mice can be shown from some words,idioms,expressions as well as some lines and literary works.From the angle of comparative literature,the paper researches on the images of mice in Chinese and English literary works to analyze the various attitudes of writers in different countries and various eras towards mice and try to learn how mice are dealt with by different literary giants.
