摘要
在计算机艺术发展史上,德国学者本斯的理论建树令人瞩目。他致力于促进传统美学向信息美学转型,推动审美活动和数学计算的有机结合,将符号学理论应用于阐释数字编码,并和学生一起从事计算机艺术创作。他牵头举办了世界上首次计算机艺术展,培养出德国最早的一批计算机艺术人才,奉献诸多论著,展示了科技与人文的相互渗透是理论创新的机遇所在。
In the history of computer art,Max Bense,one of famous German scholars,has made remarkable achievements.He did his best to promote the transformation from traditional aesthetics to information aesthetics,encouraged the organic integration of aesthetic activities and mathematical computing,applied the semiotic theory to explain the digital coding,and engaged himself with students in the creation of computer art.He organized the world's first computer art exhibitions,nurtured the first group of German computer art talents,and contributed a lot of academic publications,showing that the interaction between technology and humanism is leading to theoretical innovation.
