Hong Liangji's Thoughts on Compilation and Revision of Local Chronicles

洪亮吉生活的时代,正是方志学发展的鼎盛时期,修志活动遍及全国。但由于种种原因,这一时期的志书普遍存在着质量粗滥的现象。洪亮吉的修志思想与当时志书的质量状况有着密切的联系,其修志理论正是在纠弊中逐渐成熟和发展起来的。作为清代的方志名家,洪亮吉不但在方志理论上有所贡献,在修志态度上也为后世学者树立了榜样。

Hong Liangji lived at an age when local chronicles were in its heyday.Although local chronicles were compiled throughout the country at that time,for various reasons most of them were of poor quality.Hong Liangji＇s thoughts on compilation and revision of local records were closely related with the quality of the chronicles of his day and his theory gradually developed in rectifying the malpractice in the field.As a famous compiler of chronicles in Qing Dynasty,he made his contributions not only by establishing his chronicle-compiling theory but also by setting a good example for the later scholars.
