This paper describes the working principle of submerged slag conveyor,analyses the cause of its common failures such as the tilt of the scraper plane during operation,the halt of the pulley caused by the wear of the interior guide pulley and the frequent faults as a result of improper design of the leather belt at the top,etc.This paper also offers some solutions to these problems,so that the frequency of failures could be reduced and the reliability of the operation of the system could be improved.
