鸠摩罗什《小品般若波罗蜜经》的特色句法例说

Exemplifying Jiumo Luoshi's Peculiar Syntax in Perfection of Wisdom

鸠摩罗什的《小品般若波罗蜜经》虽然学术界评价很高,但是难以读懂。通过与梵文本的对勘,我们发现鸠摩罗什的译著句法上不时体现出与汉语完全不同的特色。这些特色句法有些是基于对梵文句法的保留,有些是出于对汉语句法的不熟悉。而正是这些特色句法在某种程度上阻碍了我们对《小品般若波罗蜜经》的解读。

Although Jiumo Luoshi's Perfection of Wisdom is highly praised, it is quite difficult to understand. After proofreading his Chinese translation with its Sanskrit version, we discover that in Luoshi's translation there sometimes existspeculiar syntax which is completely different with traditional Chinese syntax. Unfortunately, it is the very peculiar syntax that hinders our understanding Luoshi's translation.
