湘椒63号是经多年提纯复壮和定向选择而成的一个衡阳地方特色优良品种。该品种熟性中晚,挂果力强;果实细羊角形,果长约13.5cm,果宽1.4cm,果肉厚1.4mm,果表光滑微皱,商品成熟果绿色,生理成熟果金黄,果实辣味浓,可用于鲜食和加工;抗疫病、病毒病和炭疽病,耐热、抗逆性强;适合湖南及气候条件相近的长江中下游地区栽培。
Xiangjiao 63 is a very good hot pepper variety with Hengyang local features, bred by many-year purification, rejuvenation and oriented selection. It is a mid-late-mature variety with strong fruiting capacity, and it grows slight horn-shaped fruit up to 13.5 cm in length, 1.4 cm in diameter and 0.14cm in fruit wall thickness, and smooth fruit surface with a little wrinkle. Its commercial mature fruit is green and its physiological mature fruit is golden in colour, strong pungent, which can be used for fresh fruit cooking and processing. It is high-resistant to phytophthora blight, virus disease and capsicum anthracnose, and tolerant to hot climate.It could be grown in Hunan and other regions in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
