The all permanent ECR (Electron Cyclotron Resonance) ion source LAPECR2 has been under construction in IMP for more than one year. Everything is going on well as expected. This source is expected to be mounted on the IMP 300 kV high voltage (HV) platform. And it is supposed to be able to deliver intense high charge state ion beams for the five successive experimental terminals.
