The paper attaches importance to describe the application of SA508Gr.3 heavy forged steel component into NPP and the requirements as specified in ASME Code and Design Specification.It also describes the reasons why to select quenching and tempering treatment,and the treatment process.In accordance with ASME Code and special technical requirements,the critical quality control points are specified for the process of quenching and tempering treatment.
