为了维护美国的霸权地位,美国学者提出了各种大战略。这些大战略的实质是寻求用适当的方式运用美国的权力,以维持美国的霸权地位。奥巴马政府上台后,调整了美国外交战略。以伊斯兰世界为例,奥巴马政府寻求以更为适当的方式解决巴以问题;接受离岸平衡战略,从伊拉克撤军;采取选择性干预战略,应对恐怖主义和阿富汗问题。2010年5月美国发布的《国家安全战略报告》表明,奥巴马政府谋求的是以限制运用美国的权力来维护美国的霸权地位。

In order to safeguard the primacy of the United States in the world,U.S.scholars have proposed various grand strategies.The basic theme of these grand strategies is to seek to use appropriate means to maintain U.S.hegemonic status in the world.The Obama administration makes a change in U.S.foreign strategy.To the Islamic world,the Obama administration tries to find a more appropriate solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem.It accepts offshore balancing strategy for military withdrawal from Iraq;adopts a more selective intervention strategy to have more power to deal with terrorism and issues in Afghanistan.As the new American National Security Strategy Report shows,the Obama administration endeavors to limit the use of American power to safeguard the supremacy of the United States.
