潘家口水库运行１８ 年后，于１９９８ 年对水库大坝进行了首次安全鉴定。根据运行期观测资料，结合以往勘察成果， 对水库诱发地震、基坑开挖、混凝土坝体与建基岩体接触面抗剪强度、帷幕灌浆、边坡稳定、混凝土骨料碱活性等主要工程地质问题进行再认识。

After 18 years operation ofthe Panjiakou Reservoir, the first safety check and identification on dam w as conducted in 1998.A review on engineering geologicalissueisperform ed based on thepreviousinvestigation resultsand observed dataduring reservoir operation.The m ain engineering geologicalissueincludes reservoir-induced earthquake, excavation offoundation pit, shearstrength ofinterfacebetw een concretedam and bedrock,curtain grout,stability ofslope,alkali-silica reactivity ofconcrete aggregate, etc.
