In the topographic maps of the Surveying,individual total station or GPS RTK systems are unable to meet the needs of efficiency and precision of operations at the same time.According to the practice,this article introduces the advantages and disadvantages of the GPS systems and total stations.What is more,this article is focused on the joint application of both.And this can save survey time and manpower,and it also can improve the efficiency and accuracy of topographic maps.So the topographic maps of the Surveying is promoted towards a new stage.
