厦门BRT城市交通系统现状浅析

Preliminary study on the present situation of BRT systems in Xiamen

一个城市交通是否顺畅限制着这个城市的发展,随着BRT系统在巴西的成功运营,BRT交通模式逐渐成为包括中国在内的许多发展中国家解决交通拥挤问题所借鉴的方法之一。厦门也在城市BRT系统建设上探索出一条道路。本文从BRT的起源和优势开始,论述了BRT投资少、建设周期短、而性能又接近轨道交通的特点,并因地制宜地研究了厦门的交通现状特性,分析了BRT系统是厦门发展城市交通的较优选择,但是其实施的方式却值得我们思考,这其中的成功与欠缺之处都是值得其他城市借鉴的。

These years have witnessed large successes brought by Bus Rapid Transit（BRT） to the city transportation systems.Because of its inborn advantages,such as its high performance and low expenditure,BRT has become a widely adopted measure to cope with the traffic congestion.This paper concentrates on Xiamen,a tourist-based city,and then discusses the advantages and disadvantages of its BRT construction.A conclusion is drawn that BRT system is a reasonable choice for cities like Xiamen,but a thorough programming is required for the implementation.
