"江郎才尽"一直是一个很有意味的话题,历来学者对其才尽与否、才尽时间、才尽原因等都作了大量的考证和辨析,却忽略了今天它是作为一个文学典故出现在世人面前的。文章从它作为一个文学典故出发,来看其与历史考证的关系。可以说,才尽与否的问题未获得解决,其他一切问题的研究就会变得毫无意义。而通过分析发现,随着论述者主观立场的不同,江淹之才尽亦可,未尽亦可,仍是一个悬而未决的问题。

The four word idiom ＂inspiration draining＂ is an interesting topic.There are many analysis about whether there was inspiration draining,the time,and reason,but it is ignored as fact of literary allusion.Based on this fact,the relation between the idom and history proof is discussed.Although if this issue is not solved other studies will of less value,this is still unsolved due to the different positions held by scholars.
