Analysis of Transitivity in Academic Paper's Abstracts

随着信息时代的到来,学术论文作为重要科学研究成果的传播途径,它的作用变得越来越突出。而摘要作为论文的精华,是论文中用来交流和传播知识、吸引读者注意力的主要部分。文章主要是借助韩礼德的系统功能语法中的及物系统理论,通过例文分析总结出学术论文的中英文摘要中的及物性功能,比较其异同点以便给后来编写或者翻译摘要的学者们提供一个理论模式。

With the coming of the information age,academic paper as an important route of information transmission,its role becomes more and more important.As the essence of the paper,the abstract is the most important part to exchange and disseminate new knowledge,as well as attracting readers＇ attention.With Halliday＇s transitivity theory in systemic-functional grammar,the transitivity characteristics in academic paper abstract,both in Chinese and English,are analyzed.Comparing the similarities and difference,there will be a theoretical model for editors and translators to take as reference.
