标话是汉藏语系壮侗语族侗水语支一种独立的语言,主要分布在广东省怀集县诗洞、永固两镇;此外,怀集桥头、大岗、梁村,封开长安、莲都、河儿口和广西贺州沙田镇的部分地区也有少量分布。人们把这种与粤语不同的话称为[pεu33]或[pεu422]。

Biao is an independent language classified as a member of the Kam-Sui branch of the Kam-Tai family of the Sino-Tibetan language phylum.Biao is spoken mainly in Shidong and Yonggu towns,Huaiji County,Guangdong province,and parts of Qiaotou,Dagang and Liangcun in Huaiji County,Chang＇an,Liandu and He＇erkou in Fengkai County,and Shatian in Hezhou City.The language called /peu/ is different from Huaiji Yue dialects.
