The paper expounds on the strategies of promoting the academic and cultural influence of the academic journals in Henan Province based on analyzing and evaluating the current situation of the periodicals there. The strategies are as follows： strengthening scientific research, having the greatest esteem for systematic learning, ex- panding the academic influence of journals; advancing with time, cultural innovation, enhancing the cultural impact of journals ; being open - minded and world - oriented, creating journals of international popularity ; being connotation -driven, developing characteristics and fostering the core competitiveness of journals.
