VxWorks consists of the operating system itself and the integrated cross-development environment. It has attracted a lot of customers for its reliability, compatibility, good real-time performance and being easily to use. As a real-time operating system running on 80960RD processor, VxWorks a very important role in the system controlling. It is responsible for initializing the resources on the controlling board as well as managing and controlling other peripherals.
