In this paper,the sci-tech editors＇ roles for culturing sci-tech talents are discussed from three aspects：to be a Bole（a good judge of talent in Chinese legend）,a bridge,and a gardener.The paper points out the editors should bear the responsibility of culturing talents during their editing work.
