Advocating Academic is the Inner Spirit of Cultural Construction for Chinese Universities

文化是大学区别于其他社会组织的根本特征,崇尚学术是大学文化精神之所在;没有学术性就没有大学文化的根基和血脉,缺失大学文化,学术难以生存和发展。中国大学发展最大之痛是文化衰微,其表现形式是庸俗化、功利化和工具化,它根源于大学的学术性悬挂和遮蔽。铸就时代的大学文化传统,关键是营造以学术为核心的大学文化,增强大学的"学府韵味"。

University culture is the essential characteristic by which the university distinguishes itself from other social organizations,and advocating academic is the spirit of university culture.Without academic,there is no foundation and blood of university culture;without university culture,there is no generation and development of academic.The great problem in Chinese universities is cultural declination,manifested by vulgarization,utilitarianization and instrumentalization,which are rooted in academic shelter and suspension.The key to cast the university cultural tradition is to construct university culture with the centre of academic,and enhance the cultural elegance of universities.
