摘要 阐述了TFT-LCD的显示原理、系统结构和时序控制器TCON的设计方案。该模块设计主要为减少中、小尺寸TFT-LCD时序控制器的芯片管脚数,提高通用性,与一般TCON只能驱动2~3种分辨率的面板相比较,该设计支持8种显示模式。实现对TFT-LCD面板的时序控制,产生源驱动器模块和门驱动器模块所需要的各种控制信号、Vcom的极性控制及显示模式控制,实现对模拟RGB信号的显示控制,源驱动器和门驱动器的时序控制信号可兼容多家LCD面板的时序要求。支持16:9和4:3的TFT-LCD面板。该设计可灵活应用于市场上大部分的中、小尺寸TFT-LCD面板。产品可应用于车载电视、便携式DVD等。 This paper described the display principle of TFT-LCD, system architecture and design of timing controller TCON. The module was designed primarily to reduce chip pins in the medium and small size TFT-LCD timing controller and to increase universality, The design supported eight display modes, and the general TCON only can drive 2-3 kinds of resolution panel. This design achieved timing control of the TFr-LCD panel produced all the required control signals in the source drive module and gate drive module, and realized Vcom polarity control and display mode control, and the display control of the analog RGB signal. The source driver and gate driver timing control signal are compatible with a number of LCD panel timing requirements, and support 16:9 and 4:3 TFT-LCD panel. The design can be applied flexibly on the most medium and small size TFT-LCD panel in the market. Products can be used in vehicle TV, portable DVD and so on.
