In order to protect the drinking water safety for people,the emergency monitoring of water quality is an important means and the monitoring plan is the guideline.We review the weak links exposed in the treatment of the sudden water pollution accidents occurred in recent years,such as imperfect emergency monitoring network system,insufficient emergency monitoring ability and incomplete warning and supervision system of water sources region.We describe the importance,guideline,planning content and objective of emergency monitoring plan for drinking water safety.The compiling of the plan will promote the establishment and perfection of emergency monitoring system,improve monitoring ability,ensure the effective and orderly monitoring and the drinking water safety for people.
