On the True Meaning of "Humanism" in Chinese Tradition

对中国传统"人文"本真意蕴的理解,存在着主体论和本体论两种不同视野,前者偏重于政治道德,后者偏重于自然哲学。在先秦时代,两种视野是互相依存,互相通融的。在封建社会的历史进程中,传统"人文"本真意蕴存在着遮蔽和去蔽的双重现象。揭示传统"人文"的本真意蕴,为理解传统人文思想打开一条澄明的路径。

To understand the true meaning of ＂humanism＂ in Chinese tradition has two paths： subject the-ory and ontology.The former stresses on moral standards,and the latter pays attention to the natural standards.In pre-Qin Dynasty the two understanding pathes were a unity and interdependent.In subsequent feudalistic historic course,the true meaning of ＂humanism＂ in Chinese tradition had the dual phenomena of covering and uncovering.Revealing the true meaning of it breaks a clearing ground for our understanding of the traditional humanistic thought.
