Extending the shelf-life of products such as juice and milk builds up products' distribution, which, in turn, allows the processors to compete for a larger share of the beverage market. This article looks at the use of technology to extend the shelf-life of products. We take a look at the processes involved and reveal the developmental potential of this kind of packaging.
