摘要
本研究尝试将战略群组研究应用于我国保险行业的竞争结构分析中,努力将其转化为企业可实际操作的竞争分析工具。在确定关键战略与资源变量的基础上,首先采用阶层式聚类方法,将行业内具有相同战略与资源的企业划分为战略群组;进而利用最优尺度变化的多维尺度分析与空间计量方法创建行业战略地图,将行业内的市场竞争格局显性化,帮助研究者与管理者更加直观和有效地进行动态环境分析和竞争战略制定。
The argument in this paper is that strategic groups can be used as a useful approach for analysis of the insurance industry competition structure. This study built upon previous and recent researches on strategic group theory. It aggregated firms employing similar strategies and resources into groups by applying a hierarchical cluster algorithm in the context of the Chinese insurance industry. It created the industry strategic maps through proximity multidimensional scaling and spatial econometric methods to provide a more useful and effective way to conduct competitive environment analysis within the industry and select an appropriate competitive strategy.
