The paper reviewed the current situation and existing problems concerning the community healthcare service, and analyzed main reasons for the problems. It held that the development of the community healthcare service required the participation of commercial health insurers. It expounded on the significance of commercial in- surers＇ participation, the heahhcare service model to be adopted, and the feasibility of the model from multiple per- spectives. The paper also elaborated on the vein of thought for commercial insurers＇ participation into the communi- ty healthcare services.
