摘要
采用强制选择测试任务,考察了55位中国学习者及14位英语本族语者在六类不同的语境条件下(每类4项)英语冠词选用的规律和特点,探讨了中国学习者英语冠词替代误用产生的原因。所获取的研究结果显示,明示知识(ESK,语境因素)对二语学习者判断名词短语的实指性语义特征有影响,学习者背景知识也会影响学习者判断有定性语义特征。语义特征和语境因素共同影响,交互作用,导致了英语冠词替代误用的产生。
The study aims to reveal the reasons of substitution errors in using English articles by Chinese- speaking learners. A forced elicitation task has been used to test 55 Chinese learners and 14 English native speakers on their article choices in 6 different context types (4 tokens for each type). The findings show that explicitly stated knowledge (ESK, contextual factor) influences L2 learners' computation of specificity, and L2 learners' background knowledge also influences their computation of definiteness. The interaction of semantic features and relevant contextual factors is one of the major reasons for the substitution errors of L2 English articles.
