A computer aided engine bench test system has been described. Two-ways direct digitalcontrol on both engine and dynamometer has been realized. The fuel consumption and other related parameters can be measured continuously. A software package is provided to do the test on an engine eitherat fixed condition or at varied condition. It is an efficient means to assess the engine static or dynamiccharacteristics.
