摘要
针对带有Kerr缺陷的一维耦合腔光波导,利用非线性传输矩阵方法研究了该结构的光学二极管特性。同时分析了低频带边模的线性性质。结果表明,虽然透射率与光的传播方向无关,但由于存在缺陷,不同方向上的入射光具有各自的局域特性。在缺陷层内,正方向上(从左到右)的入射光的场分布远远大于反方向(从右到左)。由于不同方向入射光所激发的Kerr效应各异,在非线性情况下,整个结构的透射率具有方向选择性,体现出了光二极管的作用。
The characteristics of optical diodes using one-dimensional coupled cavity optical waveguiges (CCOWs) with Kerr defects are investigated by using a nonlinear transfer matrix method.Moreover, the linear properties of low-frequency band edge mode of CCOWs are analyzed.The results show that though transmittance is independent of light emission direction,the incident light in different directions has different localized properties due to the defects existed.In the defect layer,the field distribution of the incident light in forward direction(from left to right) is much larger than that of the incident light in backward direction(from right to left).In the linear case,because the incident light in different directions can excite different Kerr effects,the transmittance of the whole structure possesses good unidirectivity as an optical diode.
