摘要
功能语言学者认为形式是意义的体现,翻译学者认为改变形式也就改变了意义,二者的观点如出一辙,都指出了形式在体现意义方面的重要性。本文以"形式对等"为出发点,比较分析了李白的《望庐山瀑布》的两个译本,从译文能否传递原诗意境、保持原诗音韵及再现原诗辞格等方面对两种英译本做了试探性分析。分析表明,译者在翻译诗歌时应特别讲求译文和原文的形式对等。
Functional linguists hold that form is the realization of meaning,and the scholars of translation studies believe that the change of form signifies the change of meaning.The two viewpoints actually coincide with each other as they both focus on the importance of form in realizing meaning.Starting with ＂formal equivalence＂,this paper conducts a comparative analysis of the two translation versions of Li Bai＇s poem 《望庐山瀑布》 from the perspectives of context,rhythm and figures of speech,and demonstrates that translators should pursue the formal equivalence of source language and target language when translating.
