摘要
随着中国经济从2000年下半年开始繁荣向上,国内经济对原材料的需求增大,中国船东寻求获得更多的船来满足原材料运输的需求,因此从那时起中国船队的规模也有了较明显的扩张。
As China's economy boomed during the second half of the 2000s,the Chinese-owned fleet also expanded notably as Chinese owners sought to procure tonnage in response to higher domestic demand, especially for raw materials.Between 2004 and 2008,the Chinese fleet grew by an average of 10.4% y-o-y(in GT).Since then, and despite the recession-related downturn that has afflicted global shipping markets, the Chinese-owned fleet has expanded at an even more rapid rate.As is shown by the Graph of the Month, after three years of moderate growth, the Chinese-owned fleet grew by a huge 27.5% y-o-y(in GT terms) in 2009,compared to a 6.7% growth rate for the entire world fleet.By the end of 2010,the size of the Chinese-owned fleet had rocketed to 74.7 million GT,up 63.9% from 45.6 million GT at the end of 2008.Consequently,the Chinese share of the world fleet(in GT) grew from 6.2% to 8.7% over the same period.
