Marcuse＇s Eros and Civilization analyzed the operating principle of developed capitalist societies and the severe repressing role and changes in the controlling and ruling way of capital,explained the close relationship between social and political philosophy and psychology and mutual interaction between psychology and politics and revealed the origin and development of instinct and Eros and the foundation of social change and human liberation.He tried to relate Marxist social dynamics at a macro level to Freud＇s psychological dynamics at a micro level,unify biological existence and social existence so as to illustrate problems of human and society,to train new people and to create a new revolutionary era.This is the core ideas of Eros and Civilization.
