Correlation between smoking and vascular complications in Type 2 diabetes

血管并发症是2型糖尿病患者的严重慢性并发症之一。近年研究发现吸烟在糖尿病血管并发症(包括心、脑等大血管并发症和肾脏、视网膜等微血管并发症)的发生、发展中起着重要作用,其通过增加胰岛素抵抗,影响糖、脂代谢,损害血管内皮细胞及血小板功能,致低度炎性反应,诱导氧化应激等作用加速糖尿病血管并发症的出现和进展。研究吸烟与糖尿病血管并发症之间的关系,可为糖尿病血管并发症的防治提供新的理论基础和临床指导。

Vascular complications are one of the most serious complications in Type 2 diabetes.Clinical studies have found that smoking plays an important role in diabetic vascular complications,which includes macro-vascular and micro-vascular complications involved in heart,brain,kidney,retina and so on.Diabetic vascular complications are enhanced by smoking through increasing insulin resistance,affecting glucose and lipid metabolism,injuring the structure and function of endothelial cells and platelet,causing mild inflammatory reaction and/or inducing oxidative stress in vivo.It is necessary to elucidate the correlation between smoking and diabetic vascular complications for treating and preventing diabetic vascular complications.
