摘要
受制于MARC及其ISO2709元数据编码局限以及元数据制作成本和制作效率,图书馆馆藏元数据中,很多不具备图书的目次信息描述。在借助图形扫描设备和OCR识别技术、或手工录入等方式,将图书的目次信息数字化后,可以采用传统的MARC的856字段实现简单的目次图片文件的挂接,甚至可以扩展MARC字段或子字段,提供更多的目次信息表达;而利用新兴的DC元数据的原则和XML元数据编码,更能高效、低成本地实现图书书目著录对象与图书目次著录对象的清晰区分以及目次信息的层次表达。
Subject to the limitations of MARC and its ISO2709 meta-data encoding, as well as the cost of metadata production and the production efficiency, most of the library metadata collection do not have the book description and table contents. With the help of graphics and OCR recognition technology to scan devices, or manual entry, etc, after the digital information of the book's table of contents, it can use the traditional MARC 856 field to achieve the simple attached picture file, even to provide more information representation and table of contents by the extended MARC field or subfield; Drawing on the advantage of the emerging principles of DC metadata and XML metadata encoding, it can make a clear distinction between the object of the bibliographic cataloging and the object of the library, cataloging table of cotents, and the level of expression of contents information.
