Readers always feel shocked at the clones' submission after reading Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go. This essay takes a close reading to examine the clones’ docility from a Foucauldian perspective, arguing that the institution converts by means of power the clones into docile bodies while construes their submissive subjects with the help of discourse. Yoked in "docile bodies" and "submissive subjects", the clones have to accept their predestined fate in silence.
