广州“撑粤语”事件引发的思考

Reflections on the Event of "Supporting the Use of Guangdong Dialect"

本文拟讨论普通话推广过程中的语言协调问题,重点以2010年5至8月广州地区发生的"撑粤语"事件作为分析的个案。文章共分三部分,第一部分是事件的简单回顾。事件本身起因可谓是一个"伪命题",但其引发的是一个"真事件"。第二部分归纳分析本次事件中所涉及的九个问题,涉及普通话与方言的关系、文化与方言的关系、城市与方言的关系、媒体与方言的关系、学校教育与方言的关系、城市新移民与方言的关系、城市新生代与方言的关系、毗邻地区与方言的关系、海外侨民与方言的关系。第三部分是相关思考,认为应高度重视所谓"非关键"的问题,尤其要注意的是在经济发达地区中的语言协调问题,应该从语言生活、学界学理、社会公众文化、政治等不同层面来看待这次"撑粤语"事件并进行妥善应对,最后提出我们应该在语言政策上有所调整,在语言教育上有所引导,在语言普及上有所坚持,在语言服务上有所完善。

This research adopts the event of ＂supporting the use of Guangdong dialect＂ that occurred between May and August in 2010 in Guangzhou as a case study of the language reconciliation problems in the process of popularizing Putonghua.It firstly summarizes the event which started with a pseudo-proposition.Secondly it analyzes the nine problems or relationships： the relationship between Putonghua and dialect,the relationship between culture and dialect,the relationship between city and dialect,the relationship between the mass media and dialect,the relationship between school education and dialect,the relationship between the new immigrants and dialect,the relationship between the urban new generation and dialect,the relationship between the neighboring areas and dialect,and the relationship between the oversea Chinese and dialect.Thirdly,it points out that it is necessary to attach great importance to ＂insignificant problems＂,especially the language reconciliation problems in the perspectives of language situation,academia,public culture and politics,and offer better language services through good language policies,language education and popularization.
