摘要
社论是报纸的灵魂,代表不同报纸对某些事件权威而慎重的评论。本文以"环球时报"(英文版)和"纽约时报"中20篇英语社论为语料,运用Halliday的系统功能语法理论,从情态系统的情态附加语角度进行对比分析。
Editorial is the soul of a newspaper.It represents the authoritative opinions of the newspaper to some issues.Based on Halliday′s Systemic-Functional Grammar,this article uses 20 English editorials collected from Globaltimes and the New York Times as language materials and makes a comparative analysis on modal adjuncts.
