摘要
信息（IT）技术的迅速发展拓展了城市规划的方法与手段，使得规划支持信息系统（PSS）的发展进入到一个全新阶段。多媒体、可视化技术的应用，更好地发挥了规划支持信息系统的信息服务和辅助决策作用。本文通过两个实例的介绍和分析，阐述了多媒体、可视化的规划支持信息系统的特点、建立方法及其优势，并对我国规划支持信息系统的发展进行展望。
The rapid development of information technology(IT) has expanded the methods of city planning and helped to push ahead the planning support systems(PSS) into a new phase. The application of multimedia and visualization technoingies in PSS has a positive effect on the quality of Plans and decisions and on the information services. By exploring two systems as examples, this article discusses the characteristics, advantages and building methods of PSS which incorporates multimedia and visualization technologies, and to make some prospects in the development of PSS in China.
