摘要
为迎接新世纪的到来，1998年8月，北京市举办了“中华世纪门”规划设计竞赛。清华大学建筑学院的方案获第一名，该方案还获得第五届（1998年）首都建筑设计十佳奖。本文介绍了中华世纪门的设计构思过程。
As new millennium is approaching, a design contest titled China Arch for New Millennium washeld in Beijing in Angust 1998. The design group headed by WANG Yi, an associate professor of School ofArchitecture in Tsinghua University achieved champion in the contest. Their project was also awarded theBest-Ten Design Work in Beijing in 1998. This paper introduces the design conception of the work.
