The paper introduced the characteristics,principal composition and the principle role of snow-melting solvent.The use of the snow-melting solvent with chloride has devastating function to the road surface and the bridge floor,and it＇s negative to the road infrastructure＇s service life as well as the environment.New methods were proposed which are harmless to the road surface and bridge floor and new form of snow-melting solvent was suggested.
