Four Shifts for the Application-oriented Talent Training in Local Universities

适应我国高等教育大众化快速发展及地方经济社会发展需要,地方高校应用型人才培养必须着力实现四个转变:专业及其课程的设置,应由与地方经济社会发展要求相脱节转变为紧密与地方经济社会发展实际相结合;人才培养和教学方式的组织,应由过去无差别培养转变为注重差异和差别;教学与科研关系的处理,应由重科研轻教学转变为以教学为中心,统筹教学与科研;实践教学问题上,应由理论与实践、第一课堂与第二课堂、校内实践与校外实践相割裂转变为统筹考虑和安排。

To correspond to the rapid and popular development of higher education and the requirements of local economic and social development, local universities must focus on four changes to train more qualified application-odented talents. As for the curriculum and courses, shift should be made from their disconnection with the local social and economic development to a close connection; as for talent training and teaching organization, shift should be made from single type talent training without difference to varied training with difference; as for the relationship between teaching and academic research, shift should be made from centering on academic research to teaching fo- cus, having an overall planning for teaching and academic research in order to combine these two factors rather than separate them; as for the teaching practice, shift should be made from the separation of theory teaching from prac- tice teaching, the classroom instruction from the outside-classroom practice, practice in university from that out of university to giving comprehensive consideration and arrangement in training plan.
