摘要
山东近代棉花科学试验与研究，发端于20世纪初，在20年代中期到30年代中期有相当程度的进步，并取得了一定的推广成效。该文分棉花栽培技术试验、良种选育试验两个方面，记述了近代山东棉花试验改良及推广的发展历程，并阐述了近代棉花试验改良的意义与影响，指出近代棉花试验改良对提高当时棉花生产水平，起到了积极的作用。
In modern Shandong, the experiment and research in cotton production had their beginning early in the 20th century. From the middle of the 1920s to that of the 1930s, they made considerable progress and achieved certain successes in their spread. Divided into the two parts of technological test in cotton culture and development of improved varieties by selection, this articledescribes the process of cotton variety improvement and spread in modern Shandong, and POints outthat the early attempt in test and improvement played a POsitive role in raising the cotton output ofthat time.
